Kirsty and Richard Ludbrook have been partners in life and work for over 20 years and they each have over 30 years of experience as creatives. Kirsty started her first agency, Pearshop (sold in 2004 and still a thriving agency), when she was twenty-one, and Richard swam across the ditch from NZ and started shooting for lifestyle magazines like Vogue Living in 1989. They have started and run numerous creative businesses in Australia and in Bali, Indonesia where they lived for seven years with their three sons. They both have philosophy degrees and can often be found drinking too many Negronis in the bar at the Ace Hotel in Sydney.

Kirsty Ludbrook is an award-winning brand strategist and designer with over 30 years of experience in branding for the wellness, hospitality, lifestyle, and beauty sectors. Her strength lies in distilling complex ideas into compelling narratives and charismatic identities that connect meaningfully with audiences—and stand the test of time.
Recognised as one of Australia’s Top 10 Creatives by The Bulletin magazine, Kirsty has received accolades from AGDA and the DMA, and was a finalist for Young Business Woman of the Year. She continues to evolve her practice through advanced study, including AWARD School (Australia), the Ritson Marketing Mini-MBA (UK), and the Brand Master’s Guild (New York), IDEO U (Storytelling for Influence, 2020 and AI for Design Thinking 2025).
Kirsty is an enthusiastic autodidact with an impressive range of skills. She has been a successful exhibiting artist, she is an excellent illustrator, she has extensive experience as an art director on both photography and video shoots, she can create and edit video and is now embracing the power of AI to create high quality moving and still imagery for branding projects.
A strategic thinker with a design soul, Kirsty’s approach blends commercial acumen with creative depth to deliver brands that are clear, confident and future-ready.

Richard is also a professional photographer, with his work featured in Vogue Living, Architecture and Interiors, Vogue Entertaining + Travel, and Belle over many years, as well as campaigns for leading Australian interiors, architecture, and lifestyle brands.
As the founder of Sun Studios, Australia’s largest photographic complex (now owned by Canon), Richard blends entrepreneurial thinking with creative delivery. He approaches every project from the perspective of a business owner, ensuring that digital solutions are not only beautifully executed, but practical, scalable, and user-friendly.
