Emirates Wolgan Valley is one of Australia’s most significant heritage-listed resort properties. With its transition to Ritz-Carlton management and a major refurbishment including extensive new landscaping, the brief was to evolve the existing identity — preserving its heritage character while aligning with a global luxury brand.
Our role focused on developing a cohesive environmental identity system that could sit alongside the established brand architecture, translating the Ritz-Carlton Lodges philosophy into the Australian context.
This required a careful balance between classic sophistication and local authenticity — ensuring the brand expression felt deeply connected to place, while maintaining the refinement and consistency expected of a global luxury brand.
Through wayfinding, signage and material expression across a large-scale site, the identity was designed to integrate seamlessly with the landscape — using restrained, site-responsive cues rather than overt branding.
The project demonstrates our ability to work within an existing emblem while elevating the broader brand system — creating an experience that is both globally aligned and grounded in place.
